Tim Keane awarded Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship
Dr Tim Keane has been awarded a very prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship from H2020, in which he will implement materials-based strategies for applications in tissue repair. Congrats Tim!
Chem publication highlighted as Groundbreaking Paper
A paper from co-authors Christopher Spicer, Marsilea Booth, Damia Mawad, Astrid Armgarth, Christian Nielsen, and Molly Stevens entitled “Synthesis of Hetero-bifunctional, End-Capped Oligo-EDOT Derivatives” has been highlighted as a “Groundbreaking Paper” by the journal Chem. This report demonstrates an innovative method of synthesising well-defined, stable oligo-EDOTs for applications in tissue engineering.

Stevens Group hosts LIYSF in 2017
For over 8 consecutive years, the Stevens Group again hosted the London International Youth Science Forum (LIYSF) on July 28th. The LIYSF comprises gifted young students, who saw a lecture from Anika Nagelkerke and demos on electrical monitoring of tissues (Mars Harrison), malaria (Adrian Najer), cardiac cells (Limor Zwi-Dantsis), Raman spectroscopy (Conor Horgan), acoustic manipulation of cells (James Armstrong), nanomaterials/biosensing (Chris Wood), and polymer chemistry/materials (Chris Spicer). The group is featured on the LIYSF’s 2017 promotional video and blog.
